EthosCE Release 2024.04

EthosCE Release Notes

April 2024

Version 7.79

EthosCE Version 7.79 contains two new features and fixes. These new features include:

  • Adding a display for the Financial Relationship end date to the Financial Relationships section of the Course Faculty tab
  • Allowing the ability to of font size and color directly from the WYSIWYG editor

Additions

CORE-4980: We have added a Relationship End Date column to the Financial Relationships section of the Course Faculty tab.

Previously, the Financial Relationships section of the course faculty tab did not list the end date of a financial relationship. With the addition of this field to the report and the PDF export of financial relationships, course admins can easily view when a faculty member’s financial relationship ends.

CORE-4409: We added support for font size and color on WYSIWYG fields.

We have added two new options in the WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) text editor – font size and font color. Previously, modifying the font size and color required knowledge of CSS. With this update, user can now adjust font size and color directly in the WYSIWYG editor.

Fixes

CORE-4997: We fixed an issue that caused Course Specialty Board field values to be removed when migrating from a custom to core board profile field. This resolves a bug in the custom-to-core board migration process.

CORE-4981: We fixed an issue that caused the wrong theme to load when the ‘Add Another’ button is selected when editing a group course. This corrects a bug that can cause an error message to appear on the user’s screen when the ‘Add Another’ button is selected.

CORE-4983: We fixed an issue where the EthosCE staff Oauth metadata configuration page could not support additional scopes. This resolves the issue that prevented adding additional scopes in the Oauth metadata configuration page.

CORE-4992: We fixed an issue where the course outline warning caused an error when adding course objects. This resolves an issue that led to a warning message erroneously appearing on screen when adding course objects.
